On the women-only Thailand Adventure group tour we tear ourselves away from relaxing at our gorgeous beachfront resort in Koh Mook for a little bit of adventure!
Our longtail boat sets off right from our private beach and takes us around the coastline of beautifully untouched Koh Mook.
Our guide spots the entrance to the cave, hidden away beneath huge limestone cliffs that jut out from the sea, so it's time to don our lifejackets and flippers and jump in!
Our guide leads our brave line of Travel Queens through the cave from the front, and as we get deeper inside and it starts to get darker, I spur the team on from the back of the line!
We're only in the dark for a short time, but this experience isn't for the faint hearted and so many women on the tour, who you might not expect to normally do this kind of thing, have really impressed me by taking this on. Everyone looks after each other and we talk to each other the whole way through, we've even been known to break into song as we swim through!
Soon after it gets dark inside the cave, we spot a little circle of light that starts to get bigger and brighter, before the water starts to become illuminated as bright emerald green. We swim out from the cave onto an amazing little beach in a gap in the limestone cliffs, and wonder how anyone ever found this place. Thai pirates used to hide their treasures away in this beautiful, secret spot and reaching it is a magical experience that leaves our Travel Queens feeling happy, adventurous, proud of themselves, and deserving of a cocktail back at our gorgeous luxury beachfront resort.
