Aloha ladies, so here it is, our eagerly

awaited Hawai'i Adventure!

Hawai'i is one of the most sought after, dreamed about, luxury destinations in the world; absolutely stunning islands and beaches, epic mountains and volcanoes, rich culture and warm aloha vibes! An exotic, tropical, glamorous, safe, fun and friendly paradise, part of the United States.

It's been a real challenge to get to this price without compromising on the quality of experience that Travel Queen is all about; accommodation in particular is a lot more expensive than the places we run our other tours, and we stay in amazing hotels, including five nights at the most luxurious, in the heart of Waikiki with incredible ocean views! So I'm over the moon with our final action-packed itinerary for such a great price and to finally share this amazing adventure with you.

I hope checking everything out below gets you as excited about Hawai'i as I was to explore it and create this adventure, and I promise you, your adventure with me and a group of likeminded women in the aptly known Rainbow State will be an amazing trip of a lifetime, well worth the wait after the storm we've all been through!

OUR ITINERARY

DAY 1 - BEACHFRONT CHILLING & SUNSET COCKTAIL CRUISING IN MAUI!

On arrival at Maui's Kahului Airport, you'll be taken to our luxury beachfront hotel to enjoy an amazing day. Our hotel has earned the grand title of 'Hawai'i's Most Hawaiian Hotel' in recognition of its traditional artwork, decor and fun cultural activities to get you in the Hawaiian mood!

Our beautiful rooms are set in tropical gardens just steps away from gorgeous, palm tree lined Ka'anapali Beach. Sunbathe and snooze away to refresh after your flight here, on the beach or by the pool, take a leisurely wander along the beachfront walk, or get to know your new travel buddies sampling tropical cocktails with amazing sea views in our resort's beachfront 'tiki-done-in-style' restaurant!

Later we'll board a luxury catamaran right from the beach and set sail to enjoy a beautiful sunset on our very special sunset cruise. You'll be served delicious local specialities such as Kalua pulled pork sliders and Kula cherry tomato and mozzarella caprese skewers and a choice of local drinks, from Kona Big Wave beer to classic Hawaiian Mai Tai cocktails, as you take in stunning ocean and mountain views and feel the aloha vibes! Welcome to Hawai'i.

DAY 2 - LEARN TO PLAY THE UKELELE & SNORKEL FOR TURTLES!

Wake up in paradise steps away from the beach, swaying palm trees and turquoise blue of the Pacific Ocean.

Embrace Hawaiian culture with fun and friendly locals with stories about the weird and wonderful Hawaiian language, the importance of music and songs in Hawaiian life and the chance to learn a few chords on the ukulele!

Join us for a walk along the beach to Black Rock, where cliff jumpers leap off the towering rocks, to snorkel amongst colourful tropical fish and spot green turtles.

Other fun in the water options (for an additional charge) include stand up paddle boarding, outrigger canoeing and body boarding through the beach activities team, or simply chill on the beach and soak up this beautiful spot.

In the evening we'll watch a little hula dancing by the beach then wander along Ka'anapali Beach Walk to explore bustling Whalers' Village with its open air Hawaiian shopping centre, street food offerings and beachfront tiki bars and restaurants.

DAY 3 - HULA DANCING & EXPLORING HISTORIC LAHAINA VILLAGE!

Time to get your hula on! Discover the wonderful art of Hawai'i's iconic dance, and how it's about more than just shaking your booty but also preserving Hawaiian culture and stories.

Then we're on the move to our next destination, just a short transfer down the coastline to historic, bustling and super picturesque Lahaina. The former missionary town was the capital of Hawai'i before Honolulu and a centre of the global whaling industry. Thankfully the town now promotes whale conservation, and its stunning mountain scenery, charming Front Street and oceanfront restaurants make this Maui's heart. Our hotel is an historic landmark from the plantation period in the heart of town beside Lahaina's famous enormous banyan tree and one of the largest in the world.

Soak it all up from your plantation style lanai (Hawaiian word for balcony) overlooking the pretty courtyard or out into the town. We'll take a walking tour together then you'll have free time to explore, or lose track of time souvenir shopping in the open air Wharf centre, also home to a pretty special seafood street food style restaurant, lively bar and local artists keeping the aloha vibes strong!

DAY 4 - BOAT TRIP TO EXPLORE LANA'I'S VOLCANIC COASTLINE!

Today we're off on an adventure by ferry to Maui's neighbouring island of Lana'i and its incredible volcanic coastline, where red lava and jet black rock meets the bright blue of the Pacific Ocean.

We'll explore beautiful Hulopoe Beach (named America's best beach by actual 'Doctor Beach'!), stunning Puupehe, aka Sweetheart Rock, and the stretch of rocky tidal pools. There's even one we can take a seat in to soak up our incredible natural surroundings; let me paint you a picture...

Layered red lava rocks form a stripy backdrop of how the land was formed on one side. Large ocean waves crash up close and personal along the rocky barrier on the other. In the distance is the golden sand of Hulopoe Bay, and as we relax in the turquoise water, small colourful fish hide and play around us. Heaven!

On return to Lahaina (keep an eye out for spinner dolphins from the ferry!), I'll take us to a few of the little tiki style, beachfront bars and restaurants I've found on my travels, that are tucked away from the main street. You can never have too much tiki time on a Hawai'i Adventure right?

DAY 5 - FLY TO HONOLULU & SUNSET DRINKS @ WAIKIKI SKYBAR!!

It's time to head to our third and final Hawaiian island, O'ahu, home to capital Honolulu and world famous Waikiki Beach!

Our short flight takes just 40 minutes and the views as we come in to land will reveal just how different this island is. A high rise, Manhattan-like skyline hugs the Waikiki coastline beside the looming peaks of iconic Diamond Head crater, lush forests and mountains form the backdrop of wider O'ahu.

After landing, our transfer will take us to the heart of Waikiki and our amazing luxury hotel slap bang in the middle of glamorous Kalakaua Avenue, inspired by local artists with a creative island vibe and Hawaiian art and photographs throughout. Your room is one of the best, with incredible birds' eye views of the ocean and city and gorgeous, spacious and modern, yet distinctly Hawaiian inspired decor.

After a little time to relax we'll head to Waikiki's premier rooftop bar and terrace in time for incredible panoramic views and Mai Tais in the sky (or whatever takes your fancy) as the sun sets and the city lights up.

DAY 6 - WAIKIKI WALKING TOUR & BEACH BUM DAY (SURFING OPTIONAL!)

When in Waikiki... it's rude to keep the beach waiting! Today is about embracing your inner beach bum on one of the world's most famous beaches, and if you fancy, your inner surf goddess! Opt for a surfing lesson*, surf the waves in an outrigger canoe* or simply lie on the beach, soak up the atmosphere and watch others do their best! (*Additional cost.)

Not just a beach destination, Waikiki has some serious history and claims to fame, not least surfing legend, Duke Kahanamoku, aka 'The Duke' or 'The Big Kahuna', who put Waikiki on the map as the birthplace of surfing. On a leisurely walking tour we'll take in all the famous sights, from Duke's iconic statue laden with fresh flower leis, his stomping ground with the famous Waikiki Beach Boys at Hawai'i's first hotel, the grand Moana Surfrider, used to house soldiers during the bombing of Pearl Harbour and the Second World War, to where Elvis used to holiday and filmed 60's movie classic Blue Hawai'i, to The Royal Hawaiian or 'Pink Palace of the Pacific' that drew the likes of Marilyn Monroe and Frank Sinatra.

As the sun sets we'll head to Duke's Waikiki beachfront bar and restaurant for live music, great food, after beach vibes... and to find out what all the fuss around Hula pie is about!

DAY 7 - POOL LOUNGING / SHOPPING / FREE DAY!

The plan today is... there is no plan! It's yours to do whatever you fancy. Chill on your balcony and soak up those incredible views, or head to our hotel pool area complete with loungers, cabanas, pool side cafe bar and hot tub, all with Waikiki city views surrounded by palm trees.

If shopping's your thing you will not be disappointed in Waikiki! Head straight out onto glamorous, Rodeo-Drive-esque Kalekaua Avenue, lined with the likes of Macy's department store to designer boutiques and palm tree filled open air shopping centres you could get lost in for hours.

If you'd like to visit Pearl Harbour or do anything else not on our itinerary you can ask us for advice to help you arrange it, and of course there's always Waikiki Beach and its neighbouring, quieter beaches to enjoy.

Once the sun's gone down enjoy poolside 'dive-in' movies, or pop just a few steps next door to lively, open air Maui Brewing Company bar and restaurant that's part of our hotel, with live music every night.

DAY 8 - KUALOA RANCH JUNGLE JEEP EXPEDITION & OCEAN VOYAGE!

Today we're heading out of the city for an amazing day in the O'ahu countryside at Kualoa Ranch. These stunning mountain views were one of the things that first put Hawai'i on my must-see list and have to be seen to be believed! A truly epic natural location, this place has been used as the setting for numerous blockbuster movies including Jurassic Park and King Kong and series Lost.

First, we're off exploring on a super fun jungle jeep expedition that takes us deep into the ranch through the forest and up to breathtaking viewpoints, with stops to walk through forest trails and check out sets left behind from the movies.

We'll have lunch back at the ranch before heading off on our Ocean Voyage boat trip, first travelling by raft boat through the ranch's historic fishing lake then boarding a catamaran to sail the turquoise waters of the Pacific Ocean, with simply beautiful panoramic views back to the Kualoa mountain range. I spent this day in awe with a big smile on my face and I'm sure you will too!

DAY 9 - HIKE TO DIAMOND HEAD VOLCANO CRATER!

What better way to end our adventure than to get up close and personal with the thing that makes Hawai'i what it is... volcanoes! Every piece of land you'll set foot on in Hawai'i was created by volcanic eruptions from deep beneath the sea that eventually burst through the surface to create the islands that exist today. O'ahu is one of the oldest and the crater of Diamond Head creates an iconic symbol of the city skyline of Honolulu, but it's even more impressive up close.

Our hike will begin with a walk towards the crater as it looms ahead of us, through a deep tunnel carved out of the volcano then up the rocky winding path, until we enter a smaller tunnel through the rock to reach the top. You'll be greeted by sweeping panoramic views over the ocean, where you can see as far as Maui on a clear day, back over the crater and the money shot over Honolulu's stunning skyline hugging Waikiki Beach.

If this sounds like too much effort enjoy a free day! In the evening you have the option of a traditional luau feast with Hawaiian dance performances high in the mountains as the sun sets on our final night. Hawaiian luaus are pricey so we've made this an optional extra for an additional cost. It finishes early evening so we'll meet for farewell drinks afterwards to toast the end of our amazing adventure!

DAY 10 - TRY TO LEAVE HAWAI'I! WHY NOT EXTEND YOUR ADVENTURE?!

Sadly, the time has come for our adventure to end, and for you to tear yourself away from amazing Hawai'i. You'll wake up in your gorgeous Waikiki hotel room one last time, and depending on your onward travel plans, you can enjoy one last morning soaking up the ocean views from your balcony or enjoying a final dip in the pool before saying goodbye to your travel buddies and joining your transfer to the airport.

However, if you're hungry for more adventure, the good news is that travelling to Hawai'i from the UK and Europe usually involves changing flights on the west coast of the US, so you'll have time to include a stopover somewhere else if you fancy, all within a couple of weeks off work and without paying anything extra for your flights!

Choose from San Francisco, LA, Seattle, to name just a few options, or go all out and add on our Vegas Adventure for a truly epic adventure combo with us!

We've designed our Vegas Adventure to coincide perfectly with the end of our Hawai'i Adventure, so you can enjoy an amazing extra 5 days exploring the bright lights of the Las Vegas Strip, world famous Bellagio Fountains and an amazing bucket list experience taking a scenic flight to the Grand Canyon! Our Vegas Adventure can be viewed here and will be available to book very soon.

FAQS

WHAT'S THE AGE GROUP AND REQUIRED HEALTH & FITNESS?

All Travel Queen tours are for women aged 25 to 59 only, and you need to be up for fun and adventure and have a good level of health and fitness! We have this rule so that you and all the other women on the tour know who they'll be sharing their adventure with and so we don't have too big an age gap between people, because that's one of the things our Travel Queens tell us is important to them.

It's also there because our tours are more than just holidays, they are action-packed adventures with lots of travel and activities packed into the itinerary. You don't need to be super fit or a daredevil - this is NOT a fitness freak or adrenaline junkie trip! But you do need to be able to handle with ease things like climbing into boats from the beach, lots of walking and moderate hiking for a decent distance without holding up the rest of the group, and carrying your own bag.

You must inform us of any health conditions or disabilities before making a booking so we can advise you on the suitability of joining a tour, and whether we are able to make adjustments to accommodate your requirements (which we will do where possible), or if this is not possible.

WILL I SHARE A ROOM?

Yes, you will share a room with one other woman throughout the tour, and this may stay the same or change at each new accommodation. The standard of accommodation is high and rooms are very spacious, usually with two Queen double beds so you will have one to yourself. Occasionally, if two Queen beds aren't available then it will be a large King sized bed, but with lots of space. In our experience, as we're all female, most women are more than happy with this and it means we can stay in some beautiful accommodation where there occasionally might not be the option of two beds per room. At the moment, having your own room is not an option.

WILL I NEED A VISA?

Most international visitors to the US need to get a visa or an Electronic System for Travel Authorisation (ESTA) visa waiver to enter or transit the US as a visitor. You should consult the US State Department website to determine which you will need.

I just needed an ESTA for my last trip of a few weeks and the process was a breeze, all done online with a cost of $14, just over £10.

ARE YOUR TOURS JUST FOR WOMEN FROM THE UK?

Absolutely not! We are a UK based company so lots of the women who join our tours are from all over the UK, but we welcome women from all over the world! In fact we are receiving more enquiries from all over the place and our last tour to Croatia had two women fly from the US and one fly from Germany to join us.

DO I NEED PERSONAL TRAVEL INSURANCE?

Yes, as with any holiday you must ensure that you have personal travel insurance in place to cover your booking, your personal health and other requirements in the lead up to and during the tour, including the activities outlined in the summary above, some of which may be classed as of an adventurous nature.

We strongly advise that you take out your travel insurance immediately after booking to cover your whole booking, and that it includes cover for the potential impact of COVID, such as testing positive or developing symptoms just before the tour begins or during the tour.

TELL ME ABOUT FLIGHTS!

You will need to arrange your flights separately as these aren't included in the tour price, and make sure you arrive in Maui's Kahului Airport by 12pm on Day 1 of the tour, and depart O'ahu's Daniel K. Inouye International Airport in Honolulu on Day 10 of the tour.

Women join our tours from all over the place but as we have lots of women join us from the UK, as a guide, flights from the UK to Hawai'i usually involve a stop on the west coast of the US. You just need to decide if, where and how long you might like to stopover to break up the journey, or if you would like to travel straight through.

At the time of writing this in January 2022 and obviously subject to change, flights from London via Los Angeles, plus the required connecting flights to and from Hawai'i, were available from around £760*, and from Manchester from around £880*. Flights via Las Vegas, plus the required connecting flights to and from Hawai'i, were available from just over £1000*.

There are lots of options, too many to list in detail here, and it all depends on your personal preferences and where you are flying from, but I can help you to make sense of it all to help you choose. I may be able to help you book some or all of your flights, or you may need to book them yourself, but either way I will help you make sure the flights work for you and around the tour.

If you are happy working everything out yourself, please just make sure you check your flight times will work around the tour with me before booking them.

*Top Tip: To find these prices I searched for return flights to the west coast of the US then the flights into and out of Hawai'i separately, on the Hawaiian Airlines and South West Airlines websites. If you simply search directly to the Hawaiian islands you will probably see much more expensive flights!

I WANT TO DO THE VEGAS ADVENTURE TOO - HOW WILL THAT WORK?

Our Vegas Adventure is a separate tour that can be booked on its own by people just wanting to do that tour, as well as by people who want to combine it with the Hawai'i Adventure. As the tours are set up separately from each other, a deposit for each tour is required to secure your place on both.

There will be a night in between the two tours, on 19 July, before the Vegas Adventure officially begins on 20 July. So if you decide to book both tours, you will need an extra night's accommodation in Vegas on 19 July.

You can book this yourself, and as it is a weeknight you can find cheap deals available, or if you would prefer to stay at the same hotel we'll be using for the tour I can book this for you, but the rooms we'll be staying in are deluxe with views of the Strip in a boutique five star hotel, so they will be more expensive. You might like to just take a night to chill by yourself, or make plans to meet up or share a room with your new travel buddies from the Hawai'i Adventure!

The last day of the Vegas Adventure will be Sunday 24 July, exactly two weeks after the start of the Hawai'i Adventure on 10 July.

I can advise you on your best options for flights that work around both tours depending on where you are travelling from, and if you would like to take any extra time for a stopover to break up the journey on the way out to Hawai'i, and where, or if you would prefer to travel straight through.

Once you are booked onto both tours, I can also advise you on your options for accommodation for the night in between, and on what other people who have booked to do both tours are thinking of doing.

WHAT ABOUT COVID STUFF?

One of the reasons I chose to do this particular adventure next, was because Hawai'i is part of the US; borders have been open since early November 2021, when I travelled there to check everything out, and there is a strong relationship between the US and the UK and a willingness to maintain a stable, reciprocal travel corridor.

At the time of writing this (January 2022), the US requires all international visitors to show proof of full vaccination and a negative result from a pre-departure COVID test. The UK no longer requires those who are fully vaccinated to carry out a test before they return home from abroad or when they arrive home.

I expect the US, including Hawai'i, could likely remove the need for testing by July, in favour of proof of vaccination only, and I will provide all the help I can to make sense of any requirements closer to the time, if they remain in place. But it is your responsibility to check everything out for yourself and make sure you meet all requirements based on your individual circumstances. If you are in the UK you can do that here.

I am confident that our July Hawai'i Adventure will definitely be able to go ahead, as we could actually run it right now! But I know that reassurances are needed for you to book with confidence, so please rest assured that if the future impact of COVID should mean that we cannot run the tour, you will be given the opportunity to either transfer your balance paid to date onto an alternative future tour date, or receive a full refund.

WHAT'S INCLUDED IN THE TOUR PRICE, AND WHAT ISN'T?

All accommodation of a very high standard, 13 different activities and all transfers, including an inter-island flight from Maui to O'ahu, and the comfort of being accompanied by an experienced tour leader to travel with you and take care of everything, are included in the tour price. More information is detailed in our itinerary above.

Also included in the tour price is the usual, unique standard of Travel Queen service, which includes help with advising you on your flights, even if you don't book them with us, and providing useful information and opportunities for you to get to know your tour leader and other members of your tour group before the tour, through a dedicated Facebook group and online meet-up event just for the women you will be travelling with.

No other tour operator has the owner of the business travelling with tour groups and there's no one more committed to making sure you have an amazing adventure with us, than me!

Transfers to and from the airport at the beginning and end of the tour must take place on the first and last day of the tour for business insurance reasons, so if you intend to spend any longer in Hawai'i please consult us to see if we can arrange your transfer to or from your accommodation and if there will be any additional charge.

Not included are your flights to Maui and from O'ahu at the start and end of the tour, spending money, personal travel insurance, visa/ESTA, and all meals and drinks (unless otherwise stated, such as the appetisers and drinks on the welcome sunset cocktail cruise!)

I'VE NEVER DONE ANYTHING LIKE THIS BEFORE!

If this is the first time you have ever done anything like this - don't worry, most of the women who book onto our tours are in exactly the same boat as you! If you need some inspiration from other women about what it's like to join a group tour where you don't know anybody else before you go, you can read and watch the amazing feedback and videos from women who have been on a Travel Queen tour on our Meet Real Travel Queens page here or give me (Mel) a call for a chat - that's why I'm here!

I'M UP FOR IT! HOW DO I BOOK?

It is a £295 deposit to secure your place, and you can book here through our website using the button below. Or give me a call on 07967 788845 to pay by card over the phone, or to arrange a bank payment to the Travel Queen LTD TTA Trust Account, or we can email you a link to pay the deposit or the full balance by a Worldpay card link, whatever suits you best. The remaining balance will be due around two months before the tour.

Travel Queen is a fully certified tour operator and member of the Travel Trust Association, which means that your booking has 100% financial protection and that we have the necessary business practices and insurances in place to professionally operate group tours of this nature. It is standard Travel Queen policy that all bookings are non-refundable but please rest assured that if the future impact of COVID should mean that we cannot run the tour, you will be given the opportunity to either transfer your balance paid to date onto an alternative future tour date, or receive a full refund.

If you have any questions at all, or would just like a chat, please get in touch with me (Mel) on 07967 788845, email mel@travel-queen.co.uk or send a message through the website chat facility. I hope you join us for an amazing adventure and promise you I will go above and beyond your expectations to make sure your experience with Travel Queen is an incredible one!
