OUR ITINERARY
DAY 1 - ARRIVE IN ATHENS & SUNSET DINNER WITH ACROPOLIS VIEWS!
Today is arrival day so you’ll be picked up at Athens Airport (please make sure you arrive on a morning/early afternoon flight before 2pm) and taken to our hotel in a fantastic location, right in the heart of the city of Athens. Relax by our hotel's rooftop pool with views of Athens' ancient Acropolis, until everyone has arrived, then we'll toast the start of our Greek adventure and get to know your new travel buddies!
Tonight we'll head into the ancient Plaka, Athens' prettiest and liveliest area packed full of cobbled streets, colourful buildings, charming churches and cathedrals and wonderful Greek restaurants and traditional tavernas. We'll explore together then take a seat in one of the fabulous rooftop bars to watch as the sun sets over the city, and the world famous symbol of Greece's ancient capital, the Acropolis, is illuminated against the night sky.
Then it's time to sample your first Greek dining experience in a traditional local restaurant; you won't be disappointed...
DAY 2 - EXPLORE ATHENS & THE ACROPOLIS!
It's time to explore! First, after breakfast, we'll head up to the world famous Acropolis, built in honour of the city's patron goddess, Athena. Step back in time and imagine toga clad aristocrats gathering here high above Athens, to establish what is widely considered the birthplace of Western civilisation's principles of democracy, philosophy, art; in short, a more civilised way of life. The grand entrance, iconic Parthenon pillars and dramatic Herodes Atticus theatre are incredible to see, whether you're a history buff or not!

We'll also take you to some of Athens' other best spots, including Hades Gate, the Olympic Stadium, a funicular ride up to Mount Lycabettus viewpoint, and the super cute with their pom pom shoes, but oh so professional (don't make them smile now!), Parliament Building guards!

In the evening we'll enjoy some more fabulous Greek food before we head off on the island hopping part of our trip tomorrow...

DAY 3 - ISLAND HOP TO MAGICAL MYKONOS & LITTLE VENICE!
Today we catch our ferry to the amazing island of Mykonos. I was just blown away by how unbelievably pretty this place is and I know you'll love it too! Picture those iconically Greek, circular grey and white paved streets nestled between white wash buildings with brightly coloured doorways and shutters, and the bright pinks, reds and oranges of bougainvillea flowers blooming from every angle, paving our steps with petals... it's just like something out of a movie set, where you feel like the star!
We'll check into our super cute guest house that's literally right in the heart of the beautiful old town, before we head out for me to show you the sights.

One of my favourite places here is Little Venice, named due to the position of the stunningly picturesque row of seafront bars and restaurants where the waves quite literally crash beside you as you sip on your cocktail, dig into some incredible Greek food, and gaze at one of the best sunsets you'll ever see... heaven!
DAY 4 - MYKONOS BEACH-HOPPING BY BOAT!
Now obviously when Greek island hopping, you wanna see some gorgeous beaches, and that's our plan today! Mykonos has a great choice, each with very different vibes, from super chilled to full on beach club parties...
On our beach hopper trip today, where local fisherman provide a steady flow of boat taxis between them all, you can hop on and off to sample the ones you fancy most!
Of course, I've also done my research and tried and tested them all, so I can give you my insider tips for which one to spend the longest at, that will be most up your street!

Then as the sun sets, if you're feeling in the mood, join us for sunset cocktails and to sample Mykonos' party side!
DAY 5 - WINDMILLS, COASTAL PATHS & MORE BEACH TIME!
Enjoy a free day to explore by yourself or head back to your favourite chilled beach or beach club you found yesterday, or join me for a lovely walk past Mykonos' famous windmills along a beautiful coastal path to one of my favourite beaches!
I'll also show you a fab, chilled little swanky beach club along the way, where you can opt to spend a few hours alternating between walks on the beach and relaxing by a gorgeous pool.

Tonight we'll meet up for dinner on our last night in Mykonos before we head to our next island and final stop of our adventure tomorrow... Santorini!
DAY 6 - TRAVEL TO STUNNING SANTORINI!
It's island hopping time again! Next we're off to Greece's most iconic destination, the blue domed, white washed, cliff side postcard views of stunning Santorini! This place absolutely lives up to the hype and literally looks exactly like it does in all those famous shots, but it's actually even better in person with the scale of those dramatic sea views and the unexpected charm of the little villages and their lovely people, that you just can't capture in photos.

I fell in love with Santorini immediately and one of the reasons was the striking beauty of the accommodation I found for us! I actually couldn't believe it was going to be possible to bring groups here and stay in such an incredible, sought after location, right in the heart of those iconic postcard scenes, with the most amazing sea and sunset views direct from our balconies; the pictures just don't do it justice.
​
We'll enjoy the afternoon relaxing here before we head out for dinner in my favourite local taverna, with the best rooftop for our first Santorini sunset!
DAY 7 - EXPLORE STUNNING OIA & MAMMA MIA OPEN AIR CINEMA!
After a leisurely morning, waking up to breakfast on our balconies and those stunning sea views, we'll head into the village of Oia to explore. Oia is home to Santorini's most famous scenes of those three blue domed churches, and I do know the best spot and time for you to get THAT shot, if you want it!

But there is more to see in Oia too, from the pretty village streets, great restaurants (including my fave traditional, family run one that I'll share with you), stunning viewpoints and the fantastic little port in Ammoudi Bay.
​
We'll explore together before returning to the sanctuary of our resort to relax.
In the evening, you'll have the option to enjoy a special open air cinema experience, in probably the most scenic cinema you'll ever see, to watch the iconic Greek movie, Mamma Mia!
DAY 8 - WALK TO SKAROS ROCK VIEWPOINT & OPTIONAL BOAT TRIP!
When I visited Santorini, it was actually my walk to this viewpoint and how it made me feel, that was another one of the reasons I absolutely fell in love with this place!
Skaros Rock is a peak within the caldera that makes up Santorini's unique volcanic landscape, and can be seen from our hotel as part of its stunning views, but the views from the rock itself are just incredible. We enjoy a lovely scenic walk through the neighbouring village, before it looms infront of us, and it is a bit of a steep climb up, but this is what makes it so quiet up there, and why it feels so wild and untouched, and special!
It gave me all those feelings of being alive and free and in love with exploring, and reminded me how lucky I was to be able to experience places like this and those good vibes we don't always get so much of at home, and I'm sure it'll make you feel the same! If you'd like all that without the effort of the hike up (or as well as), you also have the option of a fantastic catamaran cruise today, with snorkelling and visiting the island's stunning red and white beaches, and the natural springs within the sea!
DAY 9 - SOAK UP MORE SANTORINI BEFORE TRAVELLING HOME
It's almost the end of our adventure and time to enjoy a final morning waking up in Santorini and soaking up those stunning sea views while you enjoy breakfast on your balcony, before we say farewell.
There's no rush to leave today so unless you have a morning flight, once we've checked out of our rooms, you can choose to enjoy your last few hours however you like.
Take a stroll along the incredible coastal paths you'll now be in love with, and maybe do some souvenir shopping in Fira town, before your transfer to Santorini Airport for your flight home.
Or, simply soak up the Santorini sunshine and watch the world go by Greek style, in a local cafe or taverna with your new travel buddies, and plan your next adventure!

WHAT IS THE AGE GROUP?
Travel Queen tours are for women aged 25 to 59 who are up for fun and adventure!
HOW FIT DO I NEED TO BE?
You need to be of a good level of fitness as some tours and trips involve a lot of walking in the hot and sunny climate, and some of our accommodation can only be accessed by steps due to Santorini's beautiful cliffside location. You also need to be able to climb in and out of minivans and boats and carry all of your own luggage for at least a 10 to 15 minute walk if needed.
WILL I GET TO MEET OTHER WOMEN
ON THE TOUR BEFORE WE GO?
On every trip we hold a virtual, video pre-trip meet up just for the women on your trip, so you can all get to know one another. We also create a closed Facebook group for everyone going on the trip too, where we share useful tips and advice and where you can all ask questions and get to know each other in the lead up to the tour.
I'VE NEVER DONE ANYTHING LIKE THIS BEFORE!
WHO WILL BE OUR GROUP LEADER?
Your group leader will be me, Travel Queen Owner, Mel Stephens, here! (Only in case of an emergency, it will be someone amazing that I trust to deliver the tour on my behalf.)
I will be there day and night throughout the whole tour to make sure everything runs smoothly and that everyone has a fantastic time! For more info check out the 'About Travel Queen' part of the website or simply give me a call for a chat!
If this is the first time you have ever done anything like this - don't worry, most of the women who book onto our trips are exactly the same as you! WILL I BE SHARING A ROOM?
Yes you will share a twin, double or group (for example if a two bedroom suite) room with other women on the tour. It would cost a lot more if we didn't share! Sometimes it is possible to upgrade to have your own room, but it will be expensive due to the high cost of the accommodation that we stay in. Please get in touch if you would like to see if this is possible and what the additional cost would be.
HOW MUCH SPENDING MONEY WILL I NEED?
You'll need spending money for your meals and drinks, any shopping you might want to do and any additional activities that aren't included in the trip or that are just optional suggestions for you to choose from during the allocated free time. How much will depend on what you like to eat and drink (and how much of it!) plus whether you want to do lots in your free time or just relax.
HOW DO I SORT MY FLIGHTS?
Flights are not included in the tour price. You will need to arrive in Athens by midday of Day 1 of the tour so you don't miss our group welcome that afternoon before we head out together in the evening, and fly out of Santorini on Day 9. There is no set time that your flight needs to be on this day, but please bear in mind you will need to check out of your room by 10am and if you have a very late flight we may need to transfer you to the airport earlier as part of group transfer arrangements. You can also choose to arrive before Day 1 and stay later than Day 9 of the tour, but you would then need to arrange your own airport transfers.
If you are unsure about your flights, please get in touch to check that the ones you're planning to get will work around the trip.

Great - you're in for the trip of a lifetime! The balance is due 2 months before the tour and you can choose to pay in instalments in the lead up to this date or however suits you best.
