Hi, I'm Mel! I set up Travel Queen to encourage women to travel, be more adventurous and to spoil themselves...as I'm a big believer that life is too short not to! I've been travelling across the world since I was 18, and always had someone to travel with, until in my early 30s I didn't, so I decided to go travelling alone.
A long story short is that during my personal experience of researching then doing group tours for single or solo people travelling on their own, I discovered there was nothing out there tailored to women like me.
We want real adventures, to see exciting, gorgeous places and have fun, with a little luxury thrown in, without being ripped off.
We want to travel with other like-minded women, whether we already have someone else to travel with or not.
Maybe that someone doesn't want to go where we want to go, or do what we want to do. Maybe they do, but they can't get the time away.
Maybe we're single and proud, and not necessarily looking for love on a 'singles' tour, but for fun, adventure and independence.
Maybe we just want to do it for ourselves.
If you give me your precious holiday time, I will give you an amazing adventure you might never have imagined, but will never forget. I'll introduce you to a group of women looking for exactly what you are to share it with, that could become lifelong friends. And if you have more time, I'll help you work out a plan just for you to extend your trip for a bit of solo travelling too.
